Radcliffe praises Gaga for gay rights stance

Actor Daniel Radcliffe has praised pop star Lady Gaga for supporting gay rights in such an "outspoken" and "flamboyant" style.

Radcliffe has long supported the Trevor Project, an organisation aimed at suicide prevention among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youths, while Gaga has been vocal as a gay rights advocate since she shot to fame, reports contactmusic.

"She's very outspoken... and it's just about being who you were born as. It's wonderful that other people are coming out from all different spectrums in support of gay rights. I mean, she has a slightly more flamboyant way of putting her point across than I would, and it suits her a lot better than it would me. But we're both aiming for the same thing," he said.

Lady Gaga gives birth in provocative new “Born This Way” music video

London, Mar 1 – Lady Gaga is known for putting a lot of thought into everything she does – from her performances to her over-the-top outfits. Her newly released music video for ‘Born This Way’ is no exception.

The provocative and risque new clip, set in outer space, shows the 24-year-old pop singer giving birth to an unknown being, striping off to her underwear for a dance routine and getting dressed up as a skeleton in a suit, reports the Daily Mail.

The seven-and-a-half minute video begins with Gaga floating in space and explaining via voiceover the premise of the story and its extra terrestrial location on G.O.A.T – A Government Owned Alien Territory.

‘This is the manifesto of mother monster’, she begins as the movie style music video opens with a two minute music less intro.

“As the wombs numbered and the mitosis of the future began, it was perceived that this infamous moment in life is not temporal, it is eternal. and thus began the the beginning of the new race, a race within the race of humanity, a race which bears no prejudice, no judgment, but boundless freedom,” she continues as a holographic split screen shows what appears to be Gaga giving birth.

“But on that same day, as the eternal mother hovered in the multiverse, another more terrifying birth took place: the birth of evil,” she continues as the video shows her in blackness and then shooting a machine gun.

For the rest of the video, Gaga spends most of the time dancing in underwear alongside a group of scantily clad men and women against a completely black backdrop.

The video, released on Monday morning, was directed by fashion and advertising photographer Nick Knight and choreographed by Laurie Ann Gibson. (ANI)

My only ambition is to maintain my musical integrity: Lady Gaga

Wellington, Feb 26 – Pop icon Lady Gaga has revealed that her main ambition is to maintain her musical success and integrity.

She even stands by the creative choices she has made in her music.

The 24-year-old hopes to continue the massive success she encountered following the release of her albums in 2008 and 2009, reports Stuff.co.nz.

Gaga, who used to pen songs for other established artists and made a living as a songwriter before rising to fame, said she was just grateful to get the chance to express her musical talents.

“I never thought it wouldn’t happen because I felt like it was happening. Even now I don’t have an ultimate goal, my goal is just to continue making music and to continue to have integrity and stand by for what I do,” she revealed in a recent radio interview.

She then added, “I will never apologise for any creative choices that I make, because that is what ‘Born This Way’ is about – it’s being unapologetically strong and fierce about the human being that you are. I was really happy to be writing for other artists, and happy people liked the music I was making.” (ANI)
